THE GREAT KANGANA DEBATE

-

By now everyone’s social media feed is filled with funny memes from the recent event of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ interview. The trolls are at their wittiest best and the media is just having a ball. We all know that Kangana is busy promoting her latest movie ‘Simran’, and the PR Team is churning out new ideas to promote the movie.

Kangana, is on an all new high ever since her movie ‘Queen’, in 2014 became a mega hit. It positioned her reign as the current Bollywood Queen. And when you are on top of your game, you do as you please! The bold and outspoken actress started taking aims. High aims at some of Bollywood’s biggest names. With a firm attitude, she took a pledge to change this male dominated Bollywood industry.

Break ups are a hard time for everyone. And for Bollywood actors it is especially tough, with the media and press hounding them 24×7. There is no time to grieve privately. Even so our Bollywood actors keep their cool and carry on. But Kangana decided to take a different approach. She decided to talk openly about the hardships she faced during her relationships and breakups. Whenever came the time for her latest Bollywood release came out her emotional outpours and life struggles.

Her recent dig at some of Bollywood’s elite has landed her in hot waters. By logging heads with Karan Johar with her remarks on ‘Nepotism’ on the show ‘Koffee with Karan’, many industry people turned against her. Many actors and actresses sided with Karan, leaving Kangana to be the only Woman standing! Her outburst over her breakup with Hrithik was taken as a cry for help. Her statements that only people having inside access to industry and money make it big were called to be false.

And with her latest stint in ‘Aap ki Adalat’, where Kangana poured her heart out to the world, giving everyone a piece of her mind; do you think it was a great move on her part? Branded by many wrong names, being called a psychopath and delusional, accused of playing the victim card; do you think it is right what Kangana is doing? With the recent wave in feminism, women fighting for equal rights, equal pay and equal respect; do you think what Kangana did was the best move to pull?

Karan Johar took to Twitter stating that Kangana is being ‘ungrateful’ for the opportunities given to her; and now the latest being singer Sona Mohapatra lashing out at Kangana and telling her to grow above all this and fight a good fight with dignity.

Would you say what kangana is doing is just a publicity stunt? Would you say what Kangana is doing is brave? Do you think she should set a good example for her many female followers and be graceful? Do you think Kangana should just make peace? Tell us what you think and which side of the debate are you siding!

I started writing on this blog in November 2011, with a keen interest with Indian Ethnic Fashion, Since I didn't have any experience or could not get an entry-level position or an internship, I made the decision for blogging to demonstrate my writing talents as well as my love of Indian Ethnic fashion. I posted my Indian style ideas and suggestions that help others try something new and to have fun in their clothes, regardless of Size. I generally disagree with the fashion standards of most people and do not believe in wearing clothes that fit your body shape.
