Letter to My Sister

Dear Sister,

It’s been 23 years knowing you. The day I lifted you up in my arms as a teeny tiny baby was the first time you peed on me. Little did I know that was a sign of things to come. Since then, you have lit up my life with actual fires and filled my days with loud noise. The makeup practice sessions were especially endearing and have left me with several scars to cherish.

But Oh dear sister, the joys you bring to me have been of equal excitement. The pleasure of doing your homework, sampling your new recipes and the peaceful snoring that follows every night have just been blissful. I especially remember the day when I got to learn about the benefits of arranged marriage from dad, when I was given the honor of defending your boyfriend. Agh, nothing like a tight slap to burn the lessons down. Thanks sis!

I am sure your journey so far has been equally wonderful. Blessed am I, to have received such an early gift to cherish forever in my life. Let us call a ceasefire and celebrate another year of love and happiness. You mean the world to me, and after Mom and my girlfriend and a few other friends of mine, you are my most favorite person :)

I started writing on this blog in November 2011, with a keen interest with Indian Ethnic Fashion, Since I didn't have any experience or could not get an entry-level position or an internship, I made the decision for blogging to demonstrate my writing talents as well as my love of Indian Ethnic fashion. I posted my Indian style ideas and suggestions that help others try something new and to have fun in their clothes, regardless of Size. I generally disagree with the fashion standards of most people and do not believe in wearing clothes that fit your body shape.
